Cerego publishes first report on “This Is How We Learn”

Cerego is an adaptive learning platform that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to make learning possible for everyone. For this first edition of “This Is How We Learn,” Cerego analyzed nearly 1 billion learner interactions by 1.5 million individual learners. Here are some of the key points about how people learn:

  • People answer questions more accurately in the morning (7-8 a.m. is best) and least accurately in the late evening (3-4 a.m. is worst).
  • Evening is the best time for learning efficiency, and 8-9 p.m. is the magic hour for learning efficiency.
  • Mobile users practice or study 2x as much as desktop only users.
  • Students in larger classes are as effective in learning material as students in smaller classes.
  • Multiple short review sessions result in better recall of information than long cram sessions.
  • 3-5 minutes of review per day is all that’s needed to master a subject or skill.
  • Subjects that are easier for students to learn are U.S. History, Sociology, and Chemistry.
  • Subjects that are harder for students to learn are Statistics, Economics, and English.
